Lack of Access to Clean water

Millions of people in Nigeria continue to suffer from poor access to water, sanitation and hygiene, and Worldwide, 780 million people do not have access to an improved water source. An estimated 2.5 billion people lack access to improved sanitation (more than 35% of the world's population). “Mere access is not enough. If the water isn’t clean, isn’t safe to drink or is far away, and if toilet access is unsafe or limited, then we’re not delivering for the world’s children,” said Kelly Ann Naylor

The women of the Niger Delta on the 4th of March 2020, with the support of Kebetkache Women Centre, rallied a campaign for access to clean water in the region. The chant basically says 'why should I be begging for clean water in the year 2020?'
